We’re coming into a new month, a new year, a new decade. We’ll be hearing a lot about sight, vision, double blessings, etc. It is the first thought that comes to mind. ‘20/20 vision’ is the term used to describe normal vision clarity or sharpness. As people who are filled with the Holy Spirit, however, as people who purpose to see through eyes of faith more than natural sight, it must be our goal, this year, to seek the second touch for second sight. To be able to see beyond the hills from whence cometh our help, and for the ability to see that, “they that be with us are more than they that be with them,” (II Kings 6:16), we have to open our eyes. Too, it is imperative that we remove the mask, and be willing to do the work so that we can be ‘free to see’.
Pastor Alexia preached a few months back, “Seeing is Believing.” This is the ability to open your eyes so that you walk with vision more than sight. When you allow “super” to be put on your natural, you can see where you’re going rather than where you are or where you’ve been. When you allow your mind to see miracles, signs and wonders, you can see past the things that are holding you down and the things that are designed to hold you back. When you’re open to vision more than sight, you’re open to having, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and the riches of the glory of His inheritance to the saints,” (Ephesians 1:18). The Word says in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “…Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” But in order to see it, in order to have access to it, you have to remove the mask.
The goal for this incoming year is to have unmasked vision. We pray for you, as Elisha prayed for his servant, that your eyes be opened. Let the scales fall. Let the triggers go. Leave the disappointments behind. Be sure to connect with partners of purpose. Take the focus off of abandonment, trauma, rejection, lack, and your past. Turn your eyes to Power and to Purpose. Allow the One who is in you, who promised to be with you to keep your eyes beyond the hills where your help comes from. ‘De-masked’ vision allows you to see further, see beyond, and see passed all that has held you down, held you back, and held you up. ‘De-masked’ vision will allow you to see bigger, better, and greater.
Drop the mask and be “free to see,” because there is “more to be, in 2020!”
